It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted an article, and as you can see, it’s because I’ve been incredibly busy launching this awesome, new-look website! I hope you like it as much as I do.
Over the last two months I’ve had to learn, and do, a lot to get this finished. I’ve moved from wordpress.com to a self-hosted site, which cutting out all the boring techy shit, basically means I’ve had to build in every element of this site myself. Not easy, and definitely not stress-free for a technophobe like myself. Anyway, we got here!
I learnt something about myself during the process, something I probably deep-down already knew…
I hate it when things are incomplete. And, as I definitely already knew, I’m very impatient.
This project gave me a real opportunity to push my comfort zone. Building a site this way was something I’d never done. I had zero support, and the downside to messing it up would have been the end of this blog, or at least the loss of all my previous content. That would have been catastrophic, given the hours, blood, sweat and tears I’ve put into The Business of Life Club over the last year. But we’re good!
I should have had more confidence in myself. But that’s easy to say now. This just goes to show, yet again, that doing is always better than over-planning and over-studying. Get in the game and find a way!
And hey, if I can build a site like this, anyone can!
It certainly wasn’t trouble free, but I won’t bore you with that.
What I really want to do, is introduce you to the new website. The hosting change gives me the chance to add whatever I want to the site with no restrictions, which means better content for you and hopefully a better user experience. I have lots of ideas for new content, products and services that I’ll be developing over time. If there is anything you would like to see on the site, or available from The Business of Life Club, please let me know on social media or leave a comment here!
The first big thing I’ve added is, The Business of Life Playbook: 50 life-changing tactics to design a rich life. My first e-book! It’s twenty pages long and over 7,000 words. It’s broken down into fifty sections and is designed to be something you can read in small stages, around your busy schedule. As a thank you for your continued support, it is available free for subscribers. Just go to the playbook page, enter your email address, and you’ll get immediate access to download the e-book. Easy!
Alternatively, check out the new homepage here.
I’d love your feedback on the new site and the e-book, so please do let me know your thoughts. I can’t wait to really take advantage of this new website and share loads of awesome new content with you.
Thank you for being here.
